Answers and errors
| Answer | What the box does |
|---|---|
| 200 | Mark ack sent; mark reject refused (keep on disk, count it in health, never resend). |
| 400 | Bad body: do not retry the same body; log it. |
| 401 / 403 | Key or box wrong: stop sending, show it in health and in the log. |
| 409 | Chain break: honour any ack/reject in it, then wait; an operator resyncs the box. Do not loop fast. |
| 413 | Too big: halve the batch and resend. |
| 5xx, timeout, no network | Keep everything on disk; retry after 1 s, doubling to 60 s. Never lose a line. |
